Responsibilities: 

Under general supervision of the Education Manager, the Trainer will

• Provide training to staff at Veritable Vegetable Inc., with primary focus on warehouse staff
• Assist in the development of training plans
• Assemble and develop training materials
• Assess knowledge, attitudes and skills of trainees based on specific task performance and interactions with co-workers
• Consult with management staff  to evaluate effectiveness of training and staff development
• Be able to carry out, at a high level of performance, a variety of tasks related to Organic Produce distribution

Qualifications:

Essential:

• At least 1 year's experience in adult education and/or training outside of a school setting
• Ability to work a full-time schedule with flexibility as needed in hours and days
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
• Demonstrated facility in teaching and managing small groups
• Reliability and attention to detail; ability to plan and organize
• Basic capabilities with word processing and simple graphics programs
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to be on your feet for several hours at a time
• Commitment to sustainable food systems

Desired:

• Second language skills (Spanish preferred)
• Experience in warehouse, farming and/or food system operations
• College degree in education, psychology, sociology, environmental studies, agriculture, health education or other relevant field

Compensation: Annual salary range for this exempt position is $40,000 - $50,000. Veritable offers an excellent work environment, competitive salaries and great benefits.
