Position Overview:

The Account Executive will be a critical addition to the company’s growing sales team and will report to the Director of Corporate Sales.  The successful candidate will build and manage a growing base of corporate clients by identifying, developing, and cultivating relationships with senior-level managers responsible for sustainable climate strategies and programs. He/she must have a demonstrable record of success selling solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, have a strong sales process, be team oriented, and passionate about addressing climate change.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong, strategic relationships with new prospects and existing corporate accounts to increase sales of Native Energy’s products and services and strengthen relationships
  • Up-selling and leveraging business from new and existing clients
  • Prepare and deliver compelling and timely proposals and client presentations around the concept of long-term ROI
  • Regularly attend and participate in targeted industry events to build awareness of and demand for the Native Energy brand, products and services
  • Develop and deliver sustainability related presentations or workshops for industry events and clients
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date information on business clients in company’s CRM

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Demonstrated success in business-to-business product, services, technical sales, or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals (top 10-20% of company)
  • Ability to effectively educate others about carbon offsets, climate change, renewable energy, sustainability, corporate responsibility, and related disciplines
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Positive customer references
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel and work in a distributed team of professionals

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree in relevant field (MBA and/or Environmental Studies)
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com, including sales pipeline management, forecasting, prospecting, and closing sales
  • Training in various sales methodologies
  • Strong track record selling to C-level executives and across multiple departments
  • Experience with renewable energy and consumer oriented companies a plus
