Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced facilities professional to lead a team with a challenging assignment: to take a major portfolio of government-owned buildings through the certification process of LEED for Existing Buildings. This person will also manage a related major training effort to enable the client agency to successfully assume the task of ongoing portfolio certification.
This position should be based in Sacramento, CA, although Denver, CO is a possible option.
Resonponsibilities:
- Manage major sustainable facilities project for large public agency client.
- Develop and execute project plan that meets client's strict budget and schedule requirements.
- Oversee field work (substantial overnight travel required) and ensure coordination with client and project schedules.
- Create major training program that develops in client organization the competency and responsibility for ongoing LEED green building certification and recertification.
- Take responsibility for project financial success and administration including all required reporting, billing, A/P and A/R.
- Identify continuous system and process improvement for field work, data collection and analysis.
Qualifications:
Capabilities/Attributes Required:
- 5-years experience on complex multi-year projects.
- Commitment to sustainability.
- Experienced in complex data analysis, integration and presentation.
- Solid understanding of the built environment as well as the public sector.
- Familiarity with California Governor's Executive Orders S-20-04 and D-16-00 as well as California AB 32 and 498.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute numerous project responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills. Able to identify project related risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Cooperative people skills to facilitate working with colleagues and clients.
- Excellent spoken and written communications at all organizational levels.
- Background or degree in architecture, engineering, real estate or facilities field a plus.
- PE license, LEED® AP, or facilities-related certifications are all pluses.
- General computer proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.).

- Timeliness and completeness of project assignments.
- Cooperation and collaboration with Project Managers.
- Feedback from clients on client delight.
