The Policy & Research business unit identifies technologies that save energy, develops standardized test procedures for those products, and assists government agencies, companies and utilities in developing energy efficiency specifications. As a member of this team, you are critical to our success. Our Research team has an immediate need for a Lab Manager located in our Durango, Colo., branch office.
Position Overview:
In this newly created role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Policy & Research and experience all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company while having a significant impact in energy efficiency, climate and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
In this newly created role, you will support our Policy and Research team by providing lab-based quantitative and analytic skills related to the efficiency of electrical and electronic products, and overseeing the team of lab technicians. This position will entail overseeing lab staff and business opportunities for the lab, as well as substantial independent and self-directed electrical power measurement, instrumentation design, and test procedure development.
Qualifications:
As our ideal candidate, you possess a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field, and at least 3 years of relevant experience in an electronics testing or lab environment. You have advanced level skills in Excel and are proficient in data analysis. In addition, you have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
