Position Overview:
KEMA Services, Inc. is seeking capable and experienced individuals to join us as green building analysts to assist in the formal review of LEED projects. Our projects currently cover the non-residential LEED systems including NC, CS, and EBOM. Our office is located in a restored Victorian building in downtown Oakland, close to bus and BART lines.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing multiple building projects at a time
- Reviewing project applications for LEED certification
- Assessing specific LEED credits for compliance
- Applying technical knowledge of energy efficiency in HVAC and lighting systems, building automation/controls, renewables, indoor environmental quality, energy modeling and related green building and sustainable design topics
- Providing green building education to building owners, design and construction project teams
Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will have sufficient specific education, training, and experience necessary to exercise professional judgment to develop opinions and conclusions regarding LEED Certification, and 3 years of relevant full-time work experience with buildings, preferably working with LEED or energy efficiency, on commercial, mixed use or high-rise multifamily projects. LEED Accreditation is required, and experience on LEED projects a plus. They will also be team-oriented people who can work in a fast-paced office with minimal supervision and who possess strong verbal communication skills.
Preference will be given to applicants with a professional engineering license or who are a Certified Facility Manager, or Certified Energy Manager.
Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
