Description
Position Overview:
The primary focus for this position will be to plan, coordinate, guide, and direct City sustainability initiatives across the organization and in the community. This position will work with City management and departments to provide an integrated approach for internal and external sustainability efforts.
Duties of the position may include assessing current sustainability practices and initiatives, employee and public education on sustainable practices, and developing a comprehensive sustainability plan in coordination with other City planning efforts. The position may also include management of other public policy development projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Sustainability, Resource Management, Environmental Policy, Liberal Arts, or a closely related field. Extensive experience is desired in sustainability program management and various facets of government operations, administration, management, government planning, or policy development; or any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Possession of a valid State Driver's License and a safe driving record and certified by the State of Oregon in specified functional area(s) of assignment.

Compensation: Salary Range $5831 to $7890 per month (Starting pay $5831 to $6751 per month depending upon qualifications).
