Position Overview:

The full-time finance/office administrator position requires a self-starter with initiative as well as the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment. The successful applicant must be able to handle the pressure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial deadlines along with preparation of operational reports and management of systems, invoicing, and contract administration.

Communications will be with senior management in Portland as well as with finance and operations staff at corporate headquarters and other EcoSecurities offices. The position requires the ability to deal with different cultural expectations, multiple currencies, corporate billing systems, and international time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial supervision and office administration support to the Global Consulting Services group (GCS).
  • Administer accounting for GCS including contract invoicing, revenue tracking, and budget tracking.
  • Provide contract administration and tracking services.
  • Supervise accounts receivable, and accounts payable for GCS group.
  • Assist in operational reports for utilization tracking, project budgets, and timekeeping process.
  • Assist with general office administrative support and communications as needed.
  • Assist in project coordination and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• 2-3 years accounting experience, preferably in a consulting business or law firm environment.
• Superior organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required.
• Quantitative and computer literacy. Proficient in MS Office products. Strong Excel skills, knowledge of Access and familiarity with relational databases, accounting and invoicing systems, QuickBooks, and AccPac a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders on finance, contractual, and system issues.
• Familiarity, experience and/or passion in environmental or energy policy helpful.
• Foreign language experience helpful.
