Position Overview:
The Green IT Coordinator is responsible for the Green Computing Initiatives, internal and client focused, at Tech Networks of Boston.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO of TNB, this position will be instrumental in continuing Green IT industry research, collection of supporting information, designing client services, coordinating related initiatives and providing recommendations to the organization regarding the internal utilization of green computing and the provision of green computing consulting services to clients.
Responsibilities:
The Green IT Coordinator will work closely with all 3 business divisions: Retail Services, Managed Services and Consulting Services. In addition, this position will Interface with a wide range of external resources including agencies, associations, subcontractors, potential clients and clients.
This position will also complete special projects and assignments at the direction of the President & CEO including the full reduction of the carbon footprint for the company.
Qualifications:
- The desired candidate will have a working knowledge of technology in the small to mid size business. In addition, certifications are a plus and may include: Microsoft (MCP-MCSE), Systems (CompTIA A+ etc) or green application specific (including HP, Kaseya etc.)
- Prior experience with green technology is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Passionate about our environment, reducing CO2 in all aspects of business technology, and committed to making a difference.
Compensation: This position is a paid internship for a qualified individual.
