Description
Small DC consulting office with national presence seeks self-motivated, results-oriented professional with 2-5 years of experience or master's degree equivalent with a focus on regulatory and public policy issues and/or facilitation expertise related to energy and the environment.
Position Overview:
Job functions entail writing (must have excellent writing skills), research, providing communications and outreach support, coordinating and taking minutes for meetings, writing and designing materials, and experience or interest in facilitation, alternative dispute resolution.
Additional job duties include database management, planning meetings and stakeholder relations. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills with an emphasis on written and oral communications working with various publics.

Qualifications:
We're looking for someone who is organized, self-motivated & has great initiative, can accomplish tasks quickly as well as multitask & can successfully balance working as part of a team with working well independently. Interest in facilitation and collaborative problem solving and/or public involvement a plus.
Requires good phone manners, attention to detail, initiative & excellent organizational skills. Some travel required.
Required Skills:
- Professional experience in energy and natural resources/ environment.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously a must.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience or interest in Collaborative Problem Solving and/or facilitation desired.
Preferred Skills:
Experience communicating energy and environmental issues to various publics. Master's degree or equivalent experience in public policy. This is not an advocacy position.
