GreenYour is being developed by GreenOrder, a leading sustainability consulting and marketing firm based in New York City. GreenOrder has worked closely with GE, BP, GM, and DuPont, as well as leading retailers and consumer product companies, helping them turn sustainability into a competitive advantage. GreenOrder's principals additionally have years of experience at media and Internet companies.
We are looking for a driven Marketing Coordinator to contribute across multiple business areas of the recently launched greenyour.com – your guide to a greener anything.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional seeking hands-on experience at the intersection of the online start-up world and the rewarding field of environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities can include but are not limited to: business strategy, project management, online and viral marketing, stakeholder relations, partnership & business development.
Responsibilities include:
Site Management & Analytics:
• Review site performance, user feedback, and work with development team to address bugs and improve functionality
• Track traffic metrics, user engagement, and prepare periodic reports
• Participate in development and tracking of keyword performance/metrics
Marketing & Public Relations:
• Assist with development of partnerships with green consumer product manufactures, retailers, and environmental non-profit organizations
• Serve as internal PR agent for GreenYour.com - Develop online and offline relationships with blogs, websites, and other media partnerships to gain GreenYour coverage and distribute content
• Coordinate integration of site with social networks, blogs, and relevant online forums leveraging applications, widgets, and additional viral, 2.0 tools
• Contribute to SEO initiatives to optimize the site’s organic and paid search performance
Green Product Database Management:
Work with environmental experts, environmental certification systems, and product manufacturers to grow and strengthen GreenYour’s database of green products and tips.
Content/Editorial:
• Collaborate with editorial team to develop creative content around seasonal topics, current affairs, etc.
• Take on new projects as necessary to support the rapid growth of the business
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• BS or BA degree in business, marketing, communications, environmental science, computer science or other relevant field.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective team player and ability to lead when needed
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Website maintenance and experience a plus
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Understanding of SEO and SEM principles and web analytics a plus
• Familiarity with website and application development process a plus
• Strong familiarity with social network applications and web 2.0, user-driven content environments (ie Wikipedia, Digg, social networks)
• Passion for climate change solutions, sustainable living, and green markets
