Description:

The Director, Sustainability will lead enterprise-wide strategy around environmental stewardship and social consciousness. They will drive initiatives as business-wide opportunities, interdependent with economic vitality and as effective elements of the Tandus Inunison go to market strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of environmental and social innovations relevant to our served industries and resulting in competitive advantage for Tandus
  • Lead sustained improvement in overall environmental stewardship and social consciousness metrics for Tandus as appropriate to reinforce the economic vitality of the company
  • Lead timely, company wide awareness of public environmental and social policies and implications for Tandus
  • Represent Tandus in environmental and social related public forums relevant to our served industries
  • Lead attainment of credible carbon neutral offering for select Tandus products and the reduction of associated costs
  • Lead attainment and maintenance of EPP certifications for select products
  • Lead attainment and maintenance of EMS certification

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in environmental leadership role
  • Expertise in local, state and federal policy dynamics relating to environmental matters
  • Strong technical aptitude: B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or environmental science (Graduate degree preferred)
  • Demonstrated equity in industry related environmental public forums
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking talent
