Position Overview

Trillium Asset Management is currently seeking an Assistant Portfolio Manager Trainee to support the President and the San Francisco Branch Manager on account work and marketing. 

This individual will learn portfolio management skills and disciplines as used by Trillium by working with the President and Branch Manager but also traveling to and working with staff in the Boston office.  Training includes taking and passing the CFA Level I as soon as possible.

Qualifications  

  • Interpersonal and telephone skills to interface with prospective and existing clients and important other Trillium contacts, as well as other office personnel. Strong written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for and interest in portfolio management, trading, the investment industry and the needs of investment clients
  • Strong quantitative and computer skills, preferably with experience in APX/Moxy/AXYS, Microsoft Office & other programs or ability to learn programs quickly; knowledge of internet
  • Team player able to fit into small office where high level of cooperation and collaboration is necessary, as well as to interact with and support team members in other "Trillium" offices
  • Strong interest in meeting new people, learning, supporting the social mission of the company and networking in the California community
  • Discretion...ability to professionally handle sensitive information
  • Ability to travel to meet with prospects and clients, and to attend industry events and train in other "Trillium" offices.
  • Prefer bachelor's degree and/or five years of experience in a similar financial services position.
