Description

The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) is a nonprofit organization representing over 275 electric utility, solar industry, and stakeholder members. SEPA's mission is to facilitate solutions for the use and integration of solar electric power by utilities, electric service providers, and their customers. 

The Administrative Associate will be responsible for providing support to staff across functions including but not limited to accounting, membership, conference, and communications.

This position offers good opportunity for career growth within SEPA and serves as an excellent entry point into the renewable energy industry. The position reports to the Director of Operations.

The ideal candidate will have superior Microsoft Office, internet research, and communications skills and experience in association management software use. A bachelor's degree is required. Interest in renewable energy and environmental issues is a plus.

Position Responsibilities:

* Process membership applications and disseminate initial information to new members
* Manage membership and conference database
* Manage the organization's electronic and physical files 
* Coordinate staff calendars
* Manage office supplies and serve as liaison with building management 
* Assist with meeting and conference logistics
* Coordinate logistics with speakers for annual conference
* Respond to routine questions and direct other inquiries to appropriate staff
* Manage accounts receivable in accordance with organization policies 
* Screen mail and telephone calls
* Provide support to staff across departments 
* Other tasks as assigned

Requirements/Skills:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a non-profit, association, or renewable energy environment 
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) 
* Strong internet research skills
* Experience in the use of association or client management software databases
* Ability to complete a combination of short-term needs, while managing long-term projects
* Ability to work independently and as a team member
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills 
* Excellent attention to detail 
* Quick learner and self-starter
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Interest in working in a fun, flexible, and small yet quickly growing office environment 
* Willingness to undertake occasional travel

Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000 depending on experience
