Description
Founded in the mid-1990s by the Holbrook family and Selva Verde Lodge, the SCLC's mission is to link communities and conservation through education and ecotourism in the Sarapiquí region of Costa Rica's northern lowlands.
Responsibilities:
* Daily supervision of volunteers, corresponding personnel, and programs
* Regular evaluations of volunteers and personnel
* Search for new international and national volunteers
* Daily accounting and budget
* Manage purchases and payments
* Assist in management of membership program and correspondence with donors
* Public relations in and outside of Costa Rica
Requirements
* Interested in Environmental Issues
* Experience in Education, community development, or tourism
* Advanced English and Spanish
* Experience in administration including managing personnel
* Experience in accounting and Microsoft programs
Desired qualities
* Ease in talking to public in Spanish and English
* Knowledge of motivation of personnel
* Enjoys working with local and foreign visitors
* Experience as a volunteers and/or multicultural situations
* Citizenship or residency of Costa Rica
