About the Position:

This position will support other data analysts to perform a range of tasks that support program activities. Duties include creating and managing systems for tracking projects and associated deliverables, collecting data and reporting results, conducting and documenting research, some technical writing and editing, and executing processes to assist in the maintenance of our high functioning program teams.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop various Excel spreadsheet tools in support of program initiatives, including but not limited to performance models, savings, cost, and cost-effectiveness projections, and reporting for various purposes.
  • Coordinate with field staff to collect and compile data such as sales figures and synthesize data to deliver regularly scheduled reports for program management.
  • Effectively interpret and analyze report results, identifying relational causes and trends and providing actionable recommendations to program management and leadership based on trend analysis along with diagnosing existing reports for modification and/or enhancements as needed.
  • Recommend processes/procedures and formats for data collection, trouble shoot data inconsistencies, ensure data accuracy.
  • Design, implement and maintain operational tracking databases as needed.
  • Conduct internet and phone based research on new energy efficient technologies and products and also to support program analyses and assist with drafting reports.
  • Track developments in product specifications, technical developments and new products for application to programs and potential new work
  • Develop efficiency and renewable program options and working with program, evaluation, and planning personnel, help select, document, and propose those options.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have experience coordinating multiple high-quality deliverables on tight deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills and proven ability to multi-task are a must. Successful candidates will be highly organized, creative, detail and solution oriented, and team-focused.

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated commitment to energy efficiency initiatives.

  • Experience with data management tools, data analysis, statistical analysis, and program tracking systems. 
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheet analysis tools with ability to review and troubleshoot complex spreadsheet analysis.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication abilities. In particular, ability to analyze complex technical issues and succinctly convey conclusions, inferences, and applications in general terms understandable to diverse technical and public audiences.
  • Ability to work constructively with and direct diverse people and with parties that may have divergent needs and interests.
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills.
  • Willingness and skills to do a combination of communications and coordination, documentation, and detailed technical work.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility for working with a fast-paced organization with extensive external accountabilities and communications needs. 
  • Must be organized, detail oriented with ability to think critically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of one year experience in data management and analysis
  • Preferred industry: experience in the energy efficiency, evaluation, and market research.
