GreenShape is a nationally recognized green building and sustainability consulting firm based in Washington, DC. We guide building owners, developers, design and construction teams and schools in the creation of buildings, programs and education for sustainable living. Responsibilities
As a GreenShape Project Manager, you will work on multiple public- and private-sector projects including commercial office buildings, schools, multi-unit residential and mixed-use projects, building modernizations, and neighborhood development projects.
You will guide building owners and design and construction project teams in applying green building concepts and technologies to their projects and support building owners in developing programs and policies for sustainable operations.
You will manage client communications and provide guidance to support our clients as they create drawings and specifications incorporating green building strategies. You will advise our clients' construction teams on LEED-related activities and manage the documentation of green building accomplishments.
Requirements
Green building is booming, and GreenShape LLC is seeking architectural, engineering, urban planning and construction management professionals with 5-10 years of related experience to join our growing green building consulting practice.
Candidates should have experience managing multiple projects, at least one of which incorporated green building components using LEED. Architects with working knowledge of specification-writing, candidates with urban planning backgrounds and familiarity with the LEED for Neighborhood Developments rating system, and Engineers with mechanical design and building operations experience are encouraged to apply.
We are seeking team-oriented individuals with strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills who are skilled at managing people, organizing large amounts of information and able to maintain a positive, flexible attitude. Requires knowledge of green building materials, systems, planning, design and construction processes.
Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable using current technology including MS Excel and the internet, and have proven experience facilitating meetings and delivering presentations. Experience with MS Project would also be beneficial.
