Energy Efficiency Analyst

Energy and environmental consulting firm located in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks a dynamic, entry-level analyst to support our work supporting the U.S. Department of Energy's appliances and commercial equipment standards program.

Responsibilities include: 

• Identifying reliable sources of information about the markets and usage patterns for a wide variety of consumer products, obtaining and synthesizing this information into market and usage characterizations  
• Using MS Excel to create multi-year, multi-scenario simulation models  
• Writing and editing technical documentation to accompany MS Excel models  
• Collaborating with team members in the development of reports and presentations to convey findings to clients and external stakeholders 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree required  
• Strong data collection, statistical, analytic, writing, communication and interpersonal skills required  
• Strong computer skills in MS Excel and Word required  
• Experience using MS Access or other analysis/statistical software a plus  
• Demonstrated experience in market analysis or another technical area preferred  
• One to three years of related work experience preferred  
• Knowledge of renewable energy and/or energy efficiency technologies and systems a plus
