Description

Gensler is seeking an engaging, articulate professional to provide consulting and documentation services on a wide variety of sustainable and green building projects. Our firm has a global reach and we are striving to have a profound global impact through the sustainable performance of all our projects.

Working under the direction of our Director of Sustainable Design, this position will be integral in driving improvements and innovation to existing building portfolios, global workplace environments, new building construction and master planned communities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide select consulting and analysis services to support LEED and other green building projects.  
  • Coordinate and manage the LEED documentation process for multiple projects simultaneously.    
  • Perform LEED rating gap analyses.   
  • Research and author technical reports on key sustainable design trends and solutions, including energy pricing trends, climate change solutions, carbon footprinting for buildings and market/government incentives for green/sustainable building activities.    
  • Create and deliver presentations to project teams, clients and general audiences.  
  • Contribute technical content to the company's Sustainable Design wiki.  
  • Manage and update sustainable design case studies.  
  • Act as client liaison on projects.  
  • Interface with a wide range of internal and external resources including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, cost estimators and facility managers.
Note - some overnight travel may be required.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, property or facilities management.

  • LEED Accredited Professional or on track to get accredited.    
  • Project experience using the LEED Online submittal process.    
  • Understanding of similarities and differences with LEED-NC, LEED-EB, LEED-CS, LEED-CI, LEED-ND and LEED-Portfolio.  
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (engineering, architecture, construction, building sciences, environmental sciences or business preferred).  
  • Excellent business communication, organizational and analytical skills.    
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.    
  • Active member of local USGBC chapter.

  • Green Globes Rating System  
  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accounting including the California Climate Action Registry General Reporting Protocol
