Internship Description:
Ideal Bite is seeking one Operational Intern to work in its San Francisco headquarters, reporting directly to the Co-founder and President. This Ideal Bite intern will gain experience in real world experience online and off, and contacts in the green industry. Ideal Bite internships are unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to online and green business strategy, with our goal being to provide the interns with solid experience that will eventually help them find paid work for their talents.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- General office assistance (ordering supplies, furniture, and running errands)
- Plan and assist with local edition launch parties
- Plan and assist Ideal Bite tradeshow presentations for Greenfest SF 2007
- Manage allocation of HR benefits 5. Assist with finance and budgeting spreadsheets (excel a plus)
- Spearhead one research and business-planning project to help international launches in 2008
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week in Ideal Bite's SF Office (SOMA area)
- Excellent research, writing and communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Independent work style requiring minimal supervision
- Proficiency in computers with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as internet research
- Personal internet and computer access
- Interest and knowledge of environmental issues and socially responsible business is a plus
