Description

Fun, Excitement, Friendly Snakes, Delicious Japanese Food, Scenic Natural Beauty!

It can all be yours when you work as a Nature Center Intern at Strawberry Hill Nature Center. We're a 609- acre preserve, where wildlife abounds, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Pennsylvania. The intern will assist with all facets of operating a small non-profit center.

In the fall, much of the intern's time will be spent assisting with our hands-on environmental education programs. The intern also cares for our teaching animals (snakes, turtles, hissing cockroaches etc.) and assists with trail maintenance and natural resource management projects. This is a great opportunity for an intern to build solid career skills in the field of environmental science.

Teaching experience or prior experience working with children a plus! Intern must have own car.

Compensation for the position includes a $150/week stipend and your own cozy, private cottage located in a beautiful forest where the owls will serenade you to sleep!

This position starts in early September and lasts until mid December with the possibility of extension.

Please send cover letter and resume to Mr. Eddy Rubin by email to apply.
