Initial responsibilities for this position include:
· Conducting independent technical and historical research on a variety of environmental issues
· Collecting and analyzing quantitative information
· Generating environmental impact profiles for various industries/industrial processes · Preparing deliverables and presenting findings to clients
Qualifications:
· Quantitative competence
· Good organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Team player with a high degree of self motivation
Preferences
· Degree in Engineering, Math, Environmental Science/Policy or the Physical Sciences; advanced degree a plus
· 2-3 years work experience
· Knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) policy frameworks (UNFCCC, federal, state) and GHG accounting best practices
· Knowledge of sustainability issues
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of auditing processes
· Understanding of energy and electricity concepts
· Experience and knowledge of industrial operations and processes
