Recognized as "Emerging ESCO of the Year" for strategic growth, best practices, and innovative energy solutions, AMERESCO, Inc. seeks Project Engineers to lead the technical development of energy savings projects for industrial, commercial, government, and institutional customers. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Determine customers' technical requirements, identify and evaluate energy efficiency cost savings opportunities, and assist with market planning and sales strategies. 
  • Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, system operating characteristics. 
  • Visit project sites to assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems. 
  • Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures. 
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis including baseline profiles, end-use analysis, retro fit analysis. 
  • Prepare and present technical content, proposals, analysis, and feasibility reports. 
  • Participate in peer review for engineering analyses and project costing. 
  • Provide critical review of proposals and reports through technical narrative editing. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

     

  • BSME or energy-related degree plus minimum 3 years' technical engineering, design, esco, and/or consulting experience in energy analysis, energy efficiency and conservation projects, or performance contracts. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, and savings projections. 
  • Exposure to facility operations and mechanical installation projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, building automation, energy conservation, or distributed generation projects. 
  • Experience with measurement and verification, project cost accounting, and estimating desirable. 
  • Experience with building simulation, measurement and verification, or related software desirable. 
  • Financial planning and budget experience, with ability to develop a business case desirable. 
  • Solid verbal, written, computer communication and presentation skills required. 
  • PE professional registration and/or CEM desirable. 
  • Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing. 
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required. 
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation. 
  • Ability to travel required.
