Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc., Photovoltaic Division, one of the world's leading supplier of PV modules and solar energy equipment has a new position for a Market Development Manager.

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, articulate sales or marketing professional with excellent interpersonal skills to join our fast growing solar team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop network of contacts for commercial, non-profit and governmental opportunities for solar business.  
  • Develop new business, manage and support existing accounts for growth.  
  • Attend and support trade shows and conferences. 
  • Gather and report on competitive and market intelligence.  
  • Generate leads and support project development. 
  • Prospecting and qualifying leads. 
  • Make presentations to trade groups and professional associations on the benefits of PV and its economic and environment impact.  
  • Attend networking events for business development. 
  • Assist in identifying new markets/products opportunities.  
  • Will travel when needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum four year college degree and MBA is preferred.  
  • Minimum 5 years of business development in B2B environment.  
  • Experience in multimillion dollar contract negotiation. 
  • Experience managing project oriented sales process and proven ability to perform financial analysis involving ROI etc. 
  • Experience in technical sales. 
  • Experience in PV, solar thermal or other renewable energy industry is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • A deep desire to be in the renewable energy business.
