Description
Project Objective:
Provide research support for the production and marketing of the forthcoming self-published book, "Writing to Make a Difference", to be released in fall 2006. The target market consists of those working or volunteering in the social sector.
Dates and Hours:
August - October 2006, 5-10 hours per week. Most tasks can be performed day or evening hours. Exact dates and times are negotiable.
Location:
Intern will work mostly from a home computer. Occasional meetings with other team members will be required on weekday evenings in downtown Oakland, CA.
Duties:
You will assist our team in researching relevant press, nonprofits, socially responsible businesses, online venues and/or strategic partners. Related tasks may include assistance to the author at selected Bay Area or online events, website updating, etc.

Qualifications Needed:
- College student or BA
- Strong organizational skills: able to multi-task, prioritize and keep track of changing information
- Reliable daily access to email and the web
- Web-savvy: familiar with Internet research, professional email correspondence, MS Office, online data collection
- Strong telephone skills
- Detail-oriented
- Resourceful
- Dependable: able to work with or without close supervision
- Sense of humor
