Director of Lending

Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit Union is a community development financial institution located in Washington Heights with $6.7 million in assets and 4,500 members.

We are a full-service credit union providing the predominantly Latino, low-income residents of Upper Manhattan with access to credit, affordable savings/checking accounts, and other retail financial services.

Neighborhood Trust works closely with its nonprofit sponsor, Credit Where Credit Is Due, which provides financial education programs to complement the credit union's services.

Job Overview:

The Director of Lending will oversee the growth and diversification of our loan portfolio, and will also be responsible for the launch of new products and services designed to both generate revenue and better serve our membership. The Director of Lending is expected to be committed to the credit union's mission of financial empowerment and the cultivation of services targeted to the unbanked. The Director of Lending will be supervised by the credit union's Executive Director.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Development and launch of new loan products;  
• Management of personal, business and real estate loan portfolio;  
• Loan underwriting;  
• Supervision of lending staff;  
• Asset/liability management;  
• Strategic planning and budgeting, in coordination with Executive Director.
