Description
Part-time position; $20 per hour; 15 hours per week
Social Venture Network (SVN) transforms the way the world does business by connecting, leveraging and promoting a community of leaders for a more just and sustainable economy. Working in collaboration with SVN's Co-Executive Directors, the SILC coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of coalition calls, meetings, and diversity initiatives.
Essential Functions:
o Coordinates SILC diversity efforts, conference committee meetings and calls, projects and timelines
o Communicates with and fulfills requests of members of the Social Impact Leadership Coalition (leaders of socially responsible business networks)
o Leads efforts in the planning and implementation of meetings and annual summit
o Coordinates venue space, travel and meal planning and summit agenda
o Maintains event budgets and tracks expenses for each event
o Follows up with summit speakers and facilitators
o Compiles data for SILC group (meeting reports, survey results, diversity resources)
o Solicits, evaluates and follows up on proposals regarding media outreach strategy, evaluation and documentation, etc.
o Manages key SILC projects, such as diversity and inclusion guidelines for network leaders
o Provides administrative assistance
Qualifications:
o College degree
o Minimum 2 years of related experience
o Strong project management skills
o Strong computer skills (e.g. knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficient with Mac computers)
o Understanding of socially responsible business practices and diversity issues
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
o Efficient, professional, flexible and collaborative work style
