Grist, the country's leading online source for environmental news and commentary is looking for a creative, highly motivated, results-oriented advertising sales representative. This is a part-time contract position, and we are looking to hire a qualified candidate as soon as possible. 

Responsibilities Include: 

-Building prospect lists and making initial sales calls
-Working with Grist staff to create presentation and sales materials and presenting them to prospects
-Proactively selling advertising space on Grist's website and in Grist's email newsletters
-Creating and delivering customer proposals
-Completing all paperwork including insertion orders
-Maintaining close relations with advertisers and ensuring their satisfaction
-Working closely with Grist ad traffic staff to ensure that insertions are accurate and complete
-Reporting campaign results back to advertisers
-Responding to prospect and advertiser inquiries
-Assisting with billing and collections as necessary
-Providing regular reports to Grist management on progress
