Senior Resource Efficiency Program Manager

D&R International is a Silver Spring, MD-based energy and environmental consulting firm that provides technical, strategic and program design consulting services to promote resource efficient products and services. We work with the federal and state governments, utilities, energy efficiency advocacy groups, product manufacturers and national retailers to help build sustainable markets for resource efficient products and services.

We are seeking a senior manager to oversee the company's support to federal government programs that promote efficient appliances, windows and lighting products. The responsibilities of the position include working with clients to establish strategic direction for program efforts, working with program managers to establish budgets, program priorities and ensure timely delivery of work product to clients; and promoting the program to stakeholders in the retail, manufacturing, and state policy arenas, with a focus on increasing public and private support for efficiency programs in these areas. 

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of commitment to market-based solutions to resource efficiency issues, demonstrated ability to apply creative solutions to complex problems, and the ability to handle the demands of a rapidly changing work environment. Successful candidates must also possess proven skills managing in a complex organization, including the setting and managing of budgets; experience in one or more of the technology areas covered by this position, and a demonstrated understanding of resource efficiency and the challenges of increasing the market share of resource efficient products in a market based economy. Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to detail a must. Must possess a Master's degree and 10-15 years work experience in a related field. Salary commensurate with experience.
