Description

World Wildlife Fund, the global conservation organization leading international efforts for a living planet, is looking for a creative and talented intern to join the education department. Interns work with full-time education staff members on WWF's environmental education projects, such as "Windows on the Wild," "Pennies for the Planet," and other outreach programs. Job responsibilities involve research, curriculum development, writing, editing, evaluation, training, and special projects.

World Wildlife Fund offers a rich learning environment, with weekly "brown bag" lectures, special program activities, and a chance to interact with a highly motivated staff of scientists, social scientists, educators, and other professionals dedicated to protecting biodiversity worldwide.

We have an opening for a full-time candidate who is available for 6 months, beginning in December or January. This is a paid position; however, housing and medical benefits are not provided.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in science education, environmental education, natural history, conservation biology with an emphasis in education, or a related field. (Master's degree or currently completing graduate course work strongly preferred.) As the curriculum guide that is currently under development focuses on sustainable communities, individuals with a background in the social sciences or sciences would be most appropriately qualified. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team are required. Prior teaching experience a plus.

AA/EOE Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply:
Please apply atour website or send cover letter including the names of 2-3 references and a resume by fax ormail to
