Description

Duties:

  • include site inventory, field observation, and preparation of site analysis, site maps, master plans, landscape planting designs and possible GIS data entry.
  • assist with design installations and project implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Junior or senior Landscape Architecture student or beginning professional in Landscape Architecture.
  • Significant knowledge of northern Illinois native plant material,
  • Good graphic skills and experience with AutoCAD 2000i, 2002 or 2004, Photoshop 6.0, ArcVIEW 3.2 and Microsoft Office 2000.
  • International interns accepted through Council Exchanges or AIPT only.

Terms:

  • Schedule: Mid/late May through August,
  • 40-50 hour work week
  • Monday through Friday,
  • usually 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • occasional 6 day work week and/or evening work may be required.
  • Stipend and Benefits: $30 per day to a maximum of $150 per week.
  • College credit as approved by applicants institution and advisor, free dormitory-style housing available on a first-come basis, workers compensation and safety equipment provided.
