Executive Director

Duties:
NW Sustainable Energy for Economic Development is looking for an experienced executive-level manager to provide primary oversight of organizational programs, operations, finances and personnel ($600k annual budget, 10 paid staff).

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable Executive Director to take the helm of a young, growing non-profit, under the general oversight of the Board of Directors.

This is a full-time salaried position with health and other benefits, with a 2-year minimum commitment.

Qualifications:

• knowledge, skills and abilities to be demonstrated by candidates experience. 
• successful track record managing budgets and cash flows; 
• motivating and supervising staff; 
• accomplished in accounting and human resources; 
• organizational leadership and fundraising; 
• understanding of or capacity to learn and work with policies, practices, key players and laws relating to renewable energy and agriculture sector; 
• compelling writing and public speaking; strong
  political sense; 
• inspiration and foresight. 
• 7-10 years related professional experience, with 3+ years in senior management; 
• non-profit background and graduate degree preferred. 
• proven ability to meet frequent deadlines, juggle multiple responsibilities, and enjoy energetic office environment. 
• willing to tackle challenges and develop new approaches to improve organizational operations.
