Communications and Outreach

The Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC), a Seattle based non profit organization that is the Northwests leading source of high quality, unbiased pollution prevention information for businesses and government, is seeking a mid-level person to lead our Communication and Outreach efforts.

Duties:

• Writing, editing and publishing (PDF and HTML) PPRCs newsletter - Pollution Prevention Northwest - three times per year
• Branding and raising the profile of our organization and our affiliations
• Organizing and marketing conferences, workshops and other outreach efforts
• Writing press releases for informational products
• Writing articles for submittal in strategic publications (industry trade journals, environmental publications, local newspapers)
• Leading a Fluorescent Lamp Recycling Outreach effort
• Placing advertisements and buying media time for special projects
• Making presentations on behalf of PPRC
• Assist with web site design and helping make access to information intuitive

Qualifications

• Four year college degree
• At least one (1) year experience with newsletter production, writing press releases and articles
• Great written and oral communication skills
• Desire to work in a non-profit environment
• Strong environmental ethic
• Willingness to help out in other areas that facilitate smooth operation of PPRCs office
• Working knowledge of PageMaker, HTML editing software, and MS Office Products
• Immediate Part or Full time employment, Benefits package, Salary DOQ.
