Description
The Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC), a Seattle based non profit organization that is the Northwests leading source of high quality, unbiased pollution prevention information for businesses and government, is seeking a mid-level person to lead our Communication and Outreach efforts.
Duties:
- Writing, editing and publishing (PDF and HTML) PPRCs newsletter - Pollution Prevention Northwest - three times per year
- Branding and raising the profile of our organization and our affiliations
- Organizing and marketing conferences, workshops and other outreach efforts
- Writing press releases for informational products
- Writing articles for submittal in strategic publications (industry trade journals, environmental publications, local newspapers)
- Leading a Fluorescent Lamp Recycling Outreach effort
- Placing advertisements and buying media time for special projects
- Making presentations on behalf of PPRC
- Assist with web site design and helping make access to information intuitive
Qualifications
- Four year college degree
- At least one (1) year experience with newsletter production, writing press releases and articles
- Great written and oral communication skills
- Desire to work in a non-profit environment
- Strong environmental ethic
- Willingness to help out in other areas that facilitate smooth operation of PPRCs office
- Working knowledge of PageMaker, HTML editing software, and MS Office Products
- Immediate Part or Full time employment, Benefits package, Salary DOQ.
