Description
ISET, Inc., a small photovoltaics company located near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), is in the process of commercializing its patented low cost process for manufacturing copper-indium-gallium-selenide (CIGS) solar cells.
In this process, inks consisting of nanoparticle precursor materials dispersed in water are used to deposit thin films of semiconductor materials for fabricating solar cells.
Using this process, ISET has processed efficient CIGS solar cells both for terrestrial and space power applications on rigid and flexible substrates.
The work environment offers growth and learning opportunities in vacuum and non-vacuum processing of semiconductor materials.
Duties:
ISET is in search of a device physicist or a process engineer with a strong background in device physics to join its staff.
The qualified individual will be responsible for processing CIGS solar cells and measuring and analyzing their electronic properties.
Terms:
Salary is negotiable and a standard benefits package is offered, including medical/dental insurance, retirement plan and stock options.
Qualifications:
- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Material Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in measuring current-voltage characteristics of solar cells, analysis of device electronic properties and correlation with device materials characteristics.
- Some experience in device modeling will be a plus
- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering or science.
