Eastern Connecticut State University, the State's public liberal arts university, is pleased to announce the establishment of an Endowed Chair in Sustainable Energy Studies within the
Department of Environmental Earth Science. The Department of Environmental Earth Science is seeking to fill an Endowed Chair in Sustainable Energy Studies.
Duties:
This is a tenure track position at the rank of full professor. The successful candidate will:
- develop an interdisciplinary, undergraduate energy studies curriculum
- seek external funding to develop interdisciplinary initiatives in teaching, research, and service
- interact with Eastern Connecticut State Universitys Institute for Sustainable Energy to build connections between the sustainable energy program and the
external community and - develop workshops and non-credit courses on issues such as energy conservation, energy efficiency, and environmental impacts of energy use

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include:
- Earned doctorate degree in a related area.
- Teaching experience in a related area.
- Outstanding scholarship.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs.
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty as well as a variety of community, state, national
agencies and groups. - Evidence of ability to obtain external funding.
