Reports To: Associate Executive Director for Marketing and Development
Status: Full-time, NON-EXEMPT position

Duties:


The Rose Resnick LightHouse is seeking a creative and innovative individual for a restructured position that will coordinate the marketing of the LightHouse and its programs. This position will work with both Development and Program Directors of the LightHouse to create a marketing plan designed to maximize the LightHouses exposure within the community. The Program Marketing Coordinator will have the responsibility of implementing that marketing plan through a number of tools and activities including site visits to other community agencies and vision care specialists; representing the agency at fairs, conferences and trade shows; developing and placing public service announcements and print advertisements; and coordinating press and public relations utilizing the services of an outside public relations consultant.

The Coordinator will meet regularly with program staff to stay knowledgeable of services and will assist the staff in developing marketing techniques. The Coordinator will oversee content for The Lantern, a monthly client newsletter and for the agency website. This position will work with the Desktop publisher on content for all agency publications and will support the agency brand and image through consistent presentations and displays both inside the agency and within the community and through the use of the media.


The ideal candidate must be comfortable working towards demanding goals. As a member of a dynamic, six -person development team, the Program Marketing Coordinator will assist in setting departmental priorities, communicating program goals and developing marketing and public relations print pieces.


The ideal candidate is self-motivated, assertive and able to think creatively and imaginatively outside the box. Qualifications:


Education: Bachelors degree (or equivalent).


Experience: Minimum of four years working in marketing, public relations or communications.


Salary: Commensurate with experience. The LightHouse offers a competitive salary and benefit package.


Start: September 1, 2003 at the earliest.
