Environmental Staff Attorney/Policy Advocate

Duties:

The Natural Resources Council of Maine, the state's leading environmental advocacy organization, is seeking an experienced environmental advocate to provide staff leadership on toxics, pollution prevention, and other environmental issues.

Responsibilities include:

• representing the Council before the legislature, administrative bodies, and the public;
• serving as a spokesperson with the media;
• and working in coalition with environmental and public health organizations.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have well developed strategic thinking, planning, communication, and advocacy skills.

A law degree is preferred, but not required.

Part-time, four day/week option may be considered. Competitive salary and benefits.
