Description
Background:
Small, but dynamic environmental non-profit organization researching and advocating policies to reduce waste and create sustainable communities through recycling, reuse and waste prevention. CRI supports state and nationwide groups formulating policy that holds corporations responsible for their wasteful packaging and serves as a clearinghouse for information on container deposit systems.
Duties:
- Assist with research and writing of newsletter and other publications;
- assist in preparing communications to the media;
- network with grassroots activists;
- help with some general administrative tasks.
- As an integral part of a small team, you will be able to see the direct impact of your work.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and writing skills;
- good research and analytical skills;
- computer and internet literacy.
- Interest in website development a plus.
- Interest in packaging issues and/or recycling a definite plus.
