Renewable Resource Program Manager

Duties:

• The Program Manager for Renewable Resources will have responsibility for
  managing one or more Energy Trust of Oregon renewable resource programs, including assisting in
  designing and launching new programs;
• Helping to in evaluate, modify and re-design programs as
  needed;
• Evaluate technical project proposals for possible funding; and, liaison with resource users.

The
Program Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Renewable Energy. Energy Trust
renewable energy programs will include efforts related to:

1. biomass projects of differing technologies,
   sizes and applications,
2. solar photovoltaic and thermal applications for all customer types,
3. an open
   solicitation process to fund demonstration projects, and
4. large and small-scale wind power
   developments.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate project proposals for engineering,
  cost and market feasibility. Develop requests for proposals and manage selection process.
• Act as
  liaison to program contractors, consultants and customers, and help other Energy Trust staff obtain data
  for tracking and evaluation.
• With the Director of Renewable Energy, design, develop and launch targeted
  programs to acquire renewable resources.
• Directly manage one or more ongoing renewable resource
  programs.
• Represent the Energy Trust in public settings and to customer groups.
• With Director, help
  prepare program budgets.
• Write and present reports to advisory committees and board.
• The Program Manager will oversee the work of contractors, suppliers and/or vendors as
  necessary in the course of managing specific programs and other efforts. As the Renewable Energy
  department and other Energy Trust functions evolve, the Program Manager will work jointly with other
  staff on coordinating efforts.

Qualifications:

• Direct contract management experience.
• Experience in developing and managing programs or projects.
• Specific experience conducting project
  evaluations and analyses.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities.
• Ability to work constructively
  with parties that may have divergent interests.
• Ability to oversee contractors, project developers and
  equipment installers.
• Strong mathematical and technical skills.
• Undergraduate degree in related field,
  including economics, engineering, statistics, or four years of equivalent experience.

Desired Skills:

• Direct experience in renewable energy applications, policies and incentives.
• Knowledge of the NW energy system and energy efficiency programs.
• Supervisory experience.
• An
  understanding of energy project development, engineering and/or finance.
• Working knowledge of
  strategies for developing market opportunities.
