Background:
Environmental Home Center is a building materials retail company that employs 18 people in one location in Seattle. We focus on environmentally friendly products and emphasize information as one of our greatest resources. We are looking for the right person to manage and enhance our existing network to allow the greatest and smoothest information flow as our company grows.
Duties:
Environmental Home Center is looking for a Network Administrator who has experience with a Windows network. The candidate will be responsible for:
- directing and coordinating local area computer network activities;
- establishing and maintaining network users, user environment, directories and security;
- responding to the needs and questions of network users concerning the network and the operation of various software programs;
- monitoring and administering the network, performing routine maintenance and upgrades;
- installing and operating software applications;
- and conducting Windows training sessions.
Qualifications:
The candidate needs 3+ years of experience managing networks. The candidate must be supportive and interested in improving how technology is used in this small company.
A candidate that has experience with Point of Sale systems and with integrating POS with Windows would be a plus. A working knowledge of html, an interest in some minor web work and a familiarity supporting an Apache web server, in a Linux environment is a plus.
Salary: $45k-$55k.
