housing opportunities. Forty-five years
later, Community Development Corporation of Long Island (CDCLI) employs over 85 people, serves both Nassau and Suffolk counties,
and provides a variety of programs and services that address the dynamic
challenges faced by those who live and work on Long Island. ~

Position Overview
CDCLI is seeking candiates to fill the postion of Green Initiatives Sustainability Coordinator. This position reports to our Centereach, NY office.
Responsibilities
Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
Program
Coordination:
- Collect,
compile, and draft quarterly and annual performance reports, and program plans. - Draft
and edit plans, reports, and other writing assignments as required. - Coordinate
the implementation of the Long Island Complete Green Contract. - Coordinate
with the Director in the implementation of CDCLI’s green organization program.
Public
Engagement, Outreach and Marketing:
- Design,
implement and manage outreach and public engagement strategies to increase the
number of program participants in sustainability programs. - Promote
program offerings across Long Island to groups and one-to-one at meetings and
events. - Develop
marketing and outreach presentations and materials. - Conduct
and evaluate program effectiveness through survey and data collection
activities including mail, phone and neighborhood canvassing. - Enhance
Green CDCLI communication and outreach, including developing content for
website, social media, and public presentations. - Outreach
to municipalities and commercial entities on NYSERDA Programs under the NYSERDA
Economic Development Growth Extension (EDGE) - Outreach
to residential homeowners and renters to educate them on the free energy audit
offered by the State under the Long Island Complete Green Homes.
Program
Financial Management:
-
Process
requests for reimbursement including reviewing documentation, contract
eligibility, and budget. Monitoring
actual against budget for the Long Island Complete Green Homes and the NYSERDA
EDGE Program.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in a related field or
experience to offset educational requirement. - Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Must have a valid driver’s license.
Compensation: Generous
