Position Overview  

The
Digital Marketing Associate is a key member of NEEP's marketing team and serves
as the primary digital marketer to staff.  Bridging the gap between NEEP's energy
efficiency expertise and the digital world, the Digital Marketing Associate provides
NEEP's digital communications which include a robust website, social media, the
Energy Efficiency Matters blog, and email campaigns.  

Working closely with the Public Relations
Manager, Development & Events Associate, and Development & Partnership Manager,
the Digital Marketing Associate assists in producing quality content for
website landing pages, fundraising efforts, blog posts, and social media
updates.  Qualified candidates will
thrive in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing

  • Maintain a robust editorial calendar that
    reflects NEEP's various projects and activities
  • Work closely with the Public Relations Manager
    to construct dissemination strategies for NEEP reports and other resources
  • Oversee and manage NEEP's social media communities
  • Coordinate with staff to author, co-author, or
    edit blog posts
  • Supervise email marketing activities and create
    e-blasts
  • Stay current with the latest and greatest
    digital/inbound marketing trends
  • Report campaign performances to staff
  • Coordinate with energy efficiency communications
    network (EECN) to stay on the leading edge of our network's trends and
    activities
  • Develop and sustain a list of the top energy
    influencers, blogs, and newsletters for content pitching

Website Management

  • Work closely with the Public Relations Manager
    and website developer to perform regular updates, uploads, and edits to www.neep.org
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the
    website for day to day troubleshooting
  • Author website content that is optimized for
    NEEP's primary audiences
  • Coordinate with web developer to plan and integrate
    changes to the website

Analytics

  • Provide staff with regular analytics reports
    that detail campaign performance, resource downloads, and overall website status
  • Coordinate with the Public Relations manager to
    include analytical insights into the Weekly News Roundup (an internally
    circulated newsletter).

Events Support

  • Develop digital marketing collateral (webpages,
    blog content, social media posts, e-blast copy) in concert with other staff
  • Support Events & Development Associate with
    event logistics (Registration, audio-visual needs and services, and venue
    coordination)
  • Increase the exposure of NEEP events using
    digital marketing tools

Editorial Support

  • Work closely with the Public Relations Manager,
    assist development and refinement of presentations, webinar production, and
    other collateral that requires editorial attention
  • Conduct editorial reviews of NEEP resources and
    reports in preparation for public releases
  • Serve as the ‘quality control' filter for NEEP
    resources, reports, and presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications,
    Public Relations or other related field
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
    skills
  • A proven collaborator and effective team member
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to
    work on and track multiple projects at one time
  • Knowledge of website management including
    content management systems and Google Analytics (Drupal experience a plus)
  • Experience with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or
    other email marketing services
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,
    InDesign & Illustrator) desired but not required
  • Desktop publishing a plus
  • Hubspot's Inbound Certification strongly
    desired but not required
