The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting environmentally-responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work, is currently seeking an energetic EVENT PLANNER to support its rapidly growing workshop department.
The Workshop Coordinator will handle workshop coordination duties including scheduling, logistics, event follow-up, marketing support, database management and customer service for 8-10 training events per month. The workshops are held all over the country, but the Workshop Coordinator will work out of USGBC's Washington, DC headquarters.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree, 2 years of relevant event planning experience, and good communications, organizational and computer skills (MS Office and database). Environmental, nonprofit or building industry experience preferred.
Salary low to mid $30K's with excellent benefits.
