Description

The non-profit Solar Living Institute is experiencing rapid growth in its sustainable living workshop program. The Workshop Coordinator position is critical to fulfilling our mission of promoting sustainability through inspirational environmental education. This position reports to the Workshop Director.

Representative Job Duties:

* Coordinate workshop logistics and hosting procedures
* Assist in developing and maintaining the workshop calendar
* Maintain communication with students and instructors
* Manage the workshop program database
* Assist with the coordination, design and distribution of workshop catalog
* Create flyers and other promotional materials
* Assist in identifying and recruiting instructors
* Assist in expanding the program to San Francisco, Southern California and East Coast 

Necessary Characteristics: 

* Team player
* Ability to both follow instructions and work autonomously
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task and work efficiently amidst distractions
* Ability to maintain a sense of humor under pressure
* Exceptional writing and computer skills
* Excellent phone manner
* Solid organizational skills 

Necessary Experience:  4-year college degree; Minimum two years in non-profit or environmental work 

Desired Experience: Event management or program coordination; Marketing or public relations; Graphic design skills; Familiarity with data management
