In this position, you will be responsible for working closely with the Wind Analysis Manager to produce energy assessments for multiple utility scale wind energy facilities.
- Being assigned responsibility for producing wind resource assessments under the supervision of the Wind Analysis Manager
- Making site visits to prospective wind farm sites, liaise with third party consultants to arrange meteorological monitoring, and to outline and manage work of consultants as well as performing analysis and review of data and reports
- Liaising closely with both Wind Analysis Manager and the Development Teams to provide timely assessments of estimated wind farm output to the Project Developers
- Providing wind assessments for individual projects - Providing mapping support using GIS Tool ARCGIS - Developing role will be to provide support to Operations
To be considered for this position, you must posses an Undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering disciplines, ideally supplemented by other applicable professional certification and approximately 3 - 7 years engineering experience. You must have direct experience of engineering modeling software tools and highly developed numerical skills. You must have an understanding and experience of meteorological instrumentation. You must have experience with ARCGIS, knowledge of meteorology and a keen interest and commitment to the growth of Renewable Energy.
