Watershed Modeler

Duties:
Versar, Inc. in Columbia, MD is seeking to fill a position to provide support for watershed modeling and related watershed assessments, monitoring, and planning.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have training and/or experience with HEC-RAS and abilities in one or more of the following areas:

• experience with other water quality and watershed models such as SWMM; 
• development of innovative stormwater management and stream restoration solutions; 
• stormwater monitoring (interpret data from ISCO flowmeters and autosamplers, water quality multi parameter sondes); stream monitoring (fish and macroinvertebrate sampling and field identification, water quality monitoring, physical habitat assessment, geomorphic assessment, data analysis and reporting); other data analysis, interpretation, and reporting (using Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Access, GIS tools, etc.) to meet client needs 
• a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one year's experience in any discipline of the environmental sciences, biology, or engineering is desired.

Terms:
Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
