Description
Duties / Expectations:
- Oversee the Division's efforts to accomplish CHPC's production goals fo preserving and creating affordable and conventional multifamily rental housing
- Develop and oversee the financial structuring of $25 to $50 million in development activity annually
- Supervise the Division's staff in geographically dispersed offices, ensuring that necessary staff is in place and staff activities are consistent with CHPC policies and procedures
- Assume primary responsibility for creating and maintaining a team effort in developing properties by coordinating input from other divisions, ensuring the flow of information to other divisions, monitoring project schedules and budgets, and arranging and facilitating regular development team meetings
- Periodically measure the progress toward the Division's goals and the Division's contribution to CHPC's goals, both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Develop and maintain the Division's budget and approve and monitor annual budgets for separate development offices
- Represent CHPC interest with external organization and partners, and the general public
- Maintain strong working relations with the other Divisons of CHPC
- Participate on senior management team
- setting strategic directions and operating policies for the company.
Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility in multifamily development and finance with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and/or significant related work experience. Valid Driver's License.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Considerable knowledge and skills in real estate development, feasibility analysis, and the financial structuring of large real estate transactions for both new construction and the acquisition of existing properties
- Considerable knowledge and skills in personnel management and overall financial budget management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals representing lenders, equity investors, other funding sources, local governments, partners, affordable housing interest groups, Divison staff, and other CHPC staff
- Ability to oversee the submission to funding applications and the successful management of awards
- Skilled in the use of computers and relevant software applications
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
Targeted Salary
$80,000-100,000 .Salary Negotiable Outside Range
