Position Overview: 

Our Utility Solutions Team has an immediate need for a Vice President located in our Portland, Ore., headquarters. In this key executive role, you will report to our President and have the opportunity to have a significant impact on our continued success.

Responsibilities: 

As Vice President, you will be responsible to attract and retain a high-functioning, quality management team increasing Ecos' energy efficiency products and services while meeting all key financial targets set by the company. You will develop top-level strategic relationships with all key accounts in order to drive Ecos' strategic vision, understand client needs and set the tone for Ecos as a leading professional services organization. 

In this key role, you will develop internal growth strategies maximizing efficient resource utilization, communication and collaboration across Ecos in support of our matrix organization. As Vice President, you will bring proven organizational effectiveness experience and change management expertise to the table, while creating a shared strategic and operational vision for our teams.

As a member of the Executive Team, you will actively participate in all Executive-driven initiatives. In addition, you will champion Ecos' growth objectives and provide recommendations regarding new functions, staffing structure and technology to support the growth of our infrastructure.

You will manage organizational growth and risk through the adoption of thorough, efficient operational procedures including status reporting, staff meetings, operations reviews and ultimately dashboards and key performance indicators. You will develop a roadmap of products and services needed by clients and prospective clients by collaborating with our internal departments. You will create a self-service culture and capability within Ecos by driving the creation of our Intranet website and by developing requirements for additional technology. 

By utilizing your extensive project management skills, you will lead project selection, scope definition, and ensure alignment with business vision and strategy. You will be responsible for the identification of resources and steering teams, project managers, working groups, and expenses/cost. You will track and monitor project deliverables for each phase, ensuring that deliverables meet user and business expectations.

Qualifications:

As our ideal candidate, you possess a Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of progressive, professional experience in a consultative role in utilities, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or electric technologies. You bring a minimum of 10 years of experience leading and directing others including cross-functional and matrix-managed teams, demonstrating successful leadership of large teams (including managers), is mandatory.

An advanced degree in business management, environmental policy, energy management is preferred. Your experience in business development and expertise in operating as a strategic owner for a portfolio of business projects will create a winning combination.

In this role, you bring your ability to further develop and execute a winning game plan involving superiors, peers and subordinates. You possess a customer service and quality product orientation, with a reputation for integrity, openness and forthrightness. A proven successful track record of designing and implementing a services framework within a large, complex organization is essential. A strong background in managing P&L and/or departmental budgets is essential, with experience in financial and marketing analysis.

Furthermore, you have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work in diverse and matrixed organizations. Experience in financial and marketing analysis is important as well, with an understanding of business and financial decision implications when delivering projects.  Strong computer skills in MS Office, including MS Project, are important.

In this role, you bring a willingness to challenge traditional approaches, with a focus on creativity and innovation in your work and in your approach. This includes effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills along with excellent negotiation, presentation and public speaking abilities. You must be a visible leader with a bias toward spending time with customers, employees and other industry participants.
