Small wind energy designer / developer with outsourced manufacturing in the small wind industry is seeking a Vice President of Sales, with experience in renewable energy.
Candidate will be working closely with Chairman and CEO, COO and leading the sales force as the Company ramps its growth and begins life as a publicly traded company.
Cascade Wind Corporation is an emerging company in the rapidly growing small-wind turbine (2.5kW-100kW) marketplace. The company designs, develops and markets small wind turbine systems for residential and small businesses, including farms, wineries, rural electric utilities, etc. The business is currently mainly domestic, with international orders just beginning. Although currently customers and dealers are mainly located throughout the entire U.S. there exists significant international growth opportunities.
Position Overview:
Cascade Wind Corporation is seeking a Vice President of Sales with exceptional renewable energy enterprise sales skills and experience, as well as significant experience as a sales manager. The suitable candidate will have a successful record of alternative enterprise sales accomplishment selling alternative energy equipment, capital equipment or other energy or alternative energy related products. Candidate will be focused upon leading by example as the top selling enterprise sales producer at the company and concurrently managing the sales force.
This position requires a very analytical and creating thinker to identify and capitalize on developing new markets for the Company's products and having strong math and analytics skills to properly present the Company's value proposition to enterprise customers. Absolute requirement to possess deep project financing knowledge for application to sell enterprise-level wind systems.
This position will be a key member of the company with responsibility for all of the company's direct sales, both enterprise and otherwise.
Qualifications:
Candidate will have experience doing the following:
- Identifying, creating and capitalizing upon new markets for the company's products;
- managing, building, assessing and verifying sales pipeline forecasts provided by the sales force;
- utilizing sales force automation tools;
- assisting sales force with sales calls to customers;
- creating and implementing sales and distribution plans;
- measuring results weekly, if not daily;
- managing sales support;
- Must have minimum 5 years Alternative Energy Industry professional experience;
- Extensive knowledge of project financing methods including: tax operating leases, power purchase agreements, production tax credits, accelerated depreciation deductions, etc.
- Minimum 7 years Sales experience
- Minimum 5 years sales management experience
- Must be capable of financial analysis of various financing structures to compel enterprise sales
- Strong analytical and creative skills
- Must have experience creating sales strategy
- Must be willing to locate to Portland, OR (or surrounding areas)
- Comprehensive knowledge of wind turbines, and small wind or minimally a comprehensive knowledge of alternative energy products
- Excellent presentation skills
- Professional degree required
