Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas) is a fully-integrated renewable energy company that develops, constructs, owns, and operates projects across the United States (US), Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. RES Americas has constructed and/or has under construction more than 5,200 MW, which represents approximately 10% of the operating installed wind capacity in the US, and has approximately 10,000 MW in development.

Position Overview:

Manage multiple construction projects in an assigned region to deliver completed power generation projects in a safe manner within time deadlines and budget estimates. Motivate RES Americas project managers and engineers as well as clients and subcontractors working at sites. Maintains a safe working environment. Works toward goal of increasing the number of successful completed projects by maintaining the company's reputation as the contractor of choice for renewable energy projects. MUST be willing to travel.

Supervisor: Executive Vice President, Construction

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all construction projects within an assigned region.
  2. Ensure that projects constructed are completed to a high quality to further enhance RES Americas reputation as first class in the renewable energy industry.
  3. Assist with Construction Development including bid proposals and applications for future construction projects.
  4. Support RES Americas Development team to ensure constructable projects are developed.
  5. Strategic planning and management of future projects.
  6. Client satisfaction, budget control, profitability, contract compliance, problem resolution and senior project personnel management.
  7. Oversee full technical and management authority for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating project assignments.
  8. Work with the engineering, technical and procurement groups to ensure work complies with standards and meets contract requirements.
  9. Analyze subcontractor quality and contract bids.
  10. Ensure production activities are optimized to increase revenues, efficiency, cost effectiveness, safety, ease of operations, and profits.
  11. Familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing regulatory requirements.
  12. Stay current with professional and industrial best practices.
  13. Professional represents the company to meet client requirements.
  14. Ensures Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and requirements are maintained and enhanced.
  15. Understanding of contract terms and ability to recognize discrepancies.
  16. Must be able to work professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers and supervisors.
  17. Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 10-15 years of proven utility or industrial experience that includes a proven track record of managing large capital-industrial construction projects.
  2. Ability to manage senior level management in Construction Department.
  3. Needs expertise and the necessary skills to interface with the Client and will be instrumental in delivering on time cost effective projects.
  4. Minimum 10 years of Management experience.
  5. ABILITY TO TRAVEL
  6. Current and valid driver's license.

Education:

Bachelors degree in construction-related area including Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
