Description
Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF) is a private non-profit organization that promotes energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy education initiatives in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the eastern PJM grid territory, which includes NJ, DE, and MD. SEF provides a variety of services including specialized energy efficiency and renewable energy loans and leases, energy education for energy users, energy industry professionals, educators, and future leaders. SEF also advocates for sustainable energy that meets the needs of today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
Position Overview:
Process applications for funding for prospective energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Perform due diligence and analysis to determine feasibility of appropriate financial instruments including loans, leases, power purchase agreements and equity positions.
Responsibilities:
- Process, track and report on applications for funding.
- Work with program investment team in financial modeling of each transaction.
- Evaluate financial feasibility of proposed projects.
- Work with counsel to prepare funding documentation as well as term sheets, amortization schedules, and financial reports.
- Create and maintain credit files for each transaction.
- Track investment performance.
- Collect on delinquent accounts and refer for legal action.
- Recommend credit policies, procedures and standards for funding vehicles including loans, leases, power purchase agreements and equity positions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business or finance field.
- Experience in financial, investing, accounting or banking.
- Experience in sustainability, green or energy helpful.
